If a task takes multiple steps to complete, you can make use of a checklist to make sure that you don't skip a step and keep track of the progress of each of these steps.
Checklist
To add a checklist to a task, do the following:
- Select a task
- Click where it says Type to add a checklist item on the task details pane
- Type the name of the checklist item
- Hit the Enter key to confirm
Checklist templates
If you use the same checklist over and over again, you can use a checklist template to quickly add a checklist to a task instead having to re-enter the same checklist items for each task.
Note that checklist templates can only be used for tasks inside a project. Checklist templates are also linked to the project where you created the checklist templates.
To create a checklist template:
- Select a task
- Manually add a checklist
- Click the arrow button at the end of the checklist input field
- Select Save checklist from the dropdown menu
- Enter a name for your checklist template
- Click Save to confirm
To use a checklist template to add it as a new checklist to a task, you can do the following:
- Select a task
- Click the arrow button at the end of the checklist input field
- Select Load checklist from the dropdown menu
- Select the template you would like to use
